A year after the high-level meeting and technical conference on ‘Cultural Diversity under Attack : Protecting Heritage for Peace’, UNESCO published a brochure that incorporates the major topics discussed. An international event organised in Bruxelles in June 9-10, 2016 by UNESCO in partnership with the European Union, and supported by the Government of Flanders.
The brochure well synthesises the variety of aspects treated at the conference and, it could reveal a pretty useful reading for those who are not familiar yet with the multifaceted approach needed when undertaking to develop sound and sustainable risk preparedness, mitigation and response policies for the protection of natural and cultural heritage under extreme circumstances.
