The tenth meeting of the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict will take place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on December 10 and 11.
An important yearly appointment which is crucial for the main stakeholders including specialised International NGOs and CSOs to keep updated on new developments and achievements registered by States Parties abiding with the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, procedural improvement introduced in the Guidelines for its implementation, as well as on the various juridical that are involved. Given its very statutory mandate WATCH regularly attends the Committee meetings as Observer.
